While Ssharad Malhotra's COVID-19 diagnosis was followed by good news that co-actors Surbhi Chandna and Mohit Sehgal have tested negative, other cast and crew members have unfortunately tested positive for the virus.

MUMBAI: The frightening COVID-19 wave continues to take over every possible industry in the entire world but probably one of the most adverse impact of the same has been in India.

While we already have lakhs and lakhs of other corona cases, TV industry is indeed one of the hardest hit ones and continues to bring in more cases than others every passing day.

Naagin 5 is one of the latest ones to have witnessed this wave as we know actor Ssharad Malhotra has recently tested positive for COVID-19.

While co-actors Surbhi Chandna and Mohit Sehgal have tested negative for the virus, there are other cast and crew members who have unfortunately tested positive for COVID-19 including the director of the show Ranjan Singh and actor Aakash Talwar.

In a recent interview, Talwar said; “My symptoms are mild, and I have been home quarantined. My wife has also undergone the test and her reports are awaited. I would request all those who have come in contact with me over the past few days to undergo the test.”.

Director Singh said, “Since the director works in close proximity with actors, I isolated myself even before my test reports came in. I am now getting my wife and two children tested.”.

As known, the shoot has been halted for days now and the team is working on a new storyline to tweak the storyline.

Singh added, “The shoot was halted for four days. We don’t have a bank (of episodes), and now, the team will have to change the storyline too. I will virtually guide my assistants during the shoot, as soon the new story is in place.”
