MUMBAI: Diya Aur Baati Hum fame Neelu Vaghela and Ashish Juneja, who is known for his role in Kya Mast Hai Life, will be seen in a short film titled ‘Beta.. Sunn Toh’.  

This duo will be seen playing mother and son. The story will give out a message on how unconditional a mother’s love is but sometimes unknowingly we take them for granted and we shouldn’t ignore her while we are busy with our day to day schedule.

The short film is produced by Hocuss Focus Productions which is helmed by Ashhna Srrivastava and Punit Dahima.

Ashhna has been Creative Head of shows like Udaan, Laado 2, Haq se and has been an assistant director for webseries and movies projects like Dil Bechara, Shakuntala Devi, Breathe-Into The Shadows. On the other hand, Punit has been Creative Head of TV shows like Kumkum Bhagya, Ek Aastha Aisi Bhi, Main maike chali jaungi, Namah among others.

Talking in brief about the project, Ashhna and Punit shared, “During the lockdown both of us were home alone in our respective houses and after a couple of days we started feeling depressed and lonely and we thought about how a call from your friends and family would make us feel better. That's when we thought of making our first short film 'Take care' (a call from your loved ones really makes a difference when you are alone). Most of our friends and colleagues could relate to it as they felt the same and we were encouraged to make more short films on such social concepts.”
