MUMBAI: On Star Bharat’s popular show Nimki Mukhiya even though Nimki (Bhumika Gurung) is away from her family her on screen sister Mahua (Saniya Noorain) is always with her to fill that void. At the same time Nimki is also a protective elder sister to Mahua.

The show’s plot shows Nimki standing up to the evil of the Haveliwallahs and tackling whatever new problem they throw at her with resilience. Bhumika Gurung explains, “Many a times I feel homesick and miss my family a lot, my parents always reassure me in these times by telling me my workplace colleagues are my second family, and they truly are. Saniya and I play sisters on screen as well but in real life also she is like my younger sister.” 

She further expresses her fondness for Saniya by saying, “I always wanted a younger sister growing up, and luckily I found one on set. We really connect, I love her and am really protective of her as she is really nascent in the industry.” 

This bond off screen has spilled over on screen as well as their equation on the show has been the source of many praises.
