MUMBAI: Aladdin: Naam Toh Suna Hoga has been entertaining the masses from a long time now.

The basic premise of the show is about Aladdin, a poor thief, stumbles upon a mysterious magical lamp which contains a Genie. However, he realises that an evil sorcerer, Zafar, also covets the lamp in order to rule over Baghdad. The viewers recently received a heartbreaking news about the show going off-air.

While Siddharth shared how something beautiful does come to an end and shared his experience shooting as Aladdin, actress Smita Bansal spoke about how the show has had a good run and that she has cherished her experience shooting for the show.

Well, as the storyline gears up towards closing the story, actress Nirisha Basnett who has been seen in shows such as Chandra Nandini, Tenali Rama among others, has joined the cast of Aladdin! Talking about her shoot experience, in an exclusive conversation with Nirisha, she mentioned how she is enjoying shooting for the show. Nirisha shared, “I always have been excited to be a part of Aladdin because I have shot with Siddharth earlier and have known Avneet for a long time now. Even earlier, I was in talks to be a part of the show but things did not materialize back then. I am so grateful that after a year I am getting to be a part of the project. As for Ashi, I met her on the sets and I think she is a wonderful actress who is doing absolute justice to the character of Yasmine.”

Talking about her character, “I am daughter of the evil genie. I play a negative character and will be seen brining a lot of hurdles in Aladdin’s life.”
