No 'Nach', Only 'Aashiqui' for Shakti Arora

Shakti Arora and Neha Saxena

Popular actor Shakti Arora, who is currently playing the lead in Colors’ show Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi (Balaji telefilms), was signed as a contestant in the coming season of Nach Baliye (Balaji Telefilms) on Star Plus.

Promo featuring him and his girlfriend Neha Saxena has already hit the airwaves. The jodi also shot for the first episode.

But Shakti and Neha's Nach dream has been short lived.

According to media reports, on Thursday night the handsome and dashing actor announced his decision of opting out of the show sighting some personal reasons.

But if reports are to be believed then the actual reason behind the development is that another channel Colors, on which Shakti is essaying the lead character in Meri Aashiqui, did not want him to participate on any show of the rival channel, Star Plus. And hence, Shakti, maintaining his loyalty to his daily, called it quits to the dance reality show.

Incidentally, another well known actress Giaa Manek faced the same issue with the same channels few years back. The actress was then playing the lead in a popular Star Plus show, Saath Nibhana Saathiya, and chose to participate in Colors’ dance reality series Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. She had to move out of the Star Plus show eventually.

Well, to sum it, we know that Shakti’s fans will be very much disappointed with this decision. We just hope to see the talented actor some more on-screen.
