Nupur Alankar is a Good Samaritan

Nupur Alankar
The perception about actors is that they are prone to throwing tantrums at the slightest provocation. But hold on, that's not really true for the majority, many grind and toil away at hours other normal humans would not. And they do so without a murmur. And there are yet others who go out of the way to help those in dire straits, silently without benefitting themselves. Nupur Alankar, known for her cameos in Kuch To Log Kahenge, Diya Air Baati Hum, Phulwa, among others, belongs to the same category. She solely runs an unregistered trust called Love & Care. Incidentally, while shooting for Zee TV’s Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyaan in 2006, Nupur came across a little girl who needed to get a pacemaker installed, but did not have the money for it. That’s when Nupur decided to finance her and asked a few of her friends to chip in too. When Tellychakkar.com got in touch with Nupur Alankar she said, “I like seeing smiles on people’s faces as it gives me inner satisfaction. Thankfully, I receive lot of love from my family and I pass it on to others.” In fact, unlike many NGOs where help is provided to the needy only after lots of paper work and many middlemen, Nupur’s trust makes sure the helper meets the needy directly. In fact, Nupur introduces the victims and their families to the person willing to help them financially. And in cases of operations or medical treatment, the actress introduces the donor to the hospital where the patient is to be operated so that they can pay their bills directly. In fact, Nupur doesn’t even charge for her services. Probably that’s why many celebrities like Zayed Khan, Rakhi Sawant and Tabu have helped the needy people through this charitable trust. Not only this, Nupur’s Phulwa co-actor Sargun Mehta too decided to put in her bit into the trust. Sargun recently helped a family, the members of which were ailing from Thalassemia, through Love & Care. The family had lost their second daughter to the same disease and had even sold their house to save their first daughter. When Tellychakkar.com contacted Sargun Mehta, she refused to comment on the same as she said, “I wouldn’t want to talk on this issue.” Hope many more celebrities take a cue from Nupur Alankar and follow her noble footsteps.
