MUMBAI: Shoaib Ibrahim, one of the most beloved faces on Indian television, has finally spoken out after facing heavy criticism for a recent social media post. The dashing actor, known for his successful stint in shows like Ajooni and Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11, has been a prominent figure in the entertainment industry for several years.
Since his appearance on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11, Shoaib has yet to announce his next project, keeping fans eagerly awaiting his return to the small screen. In the meantime, he took a well-deserved holiday to Kashmir. However, a post he shared during his trip sparked outrage among social media users.

While in Kashmir, Shoaib updated his followers about his well being and mentioned that a new vlog would be uploaded soon. Many netizens accused him of being insensitive in the wake of the recent tragic attack in Pahalgam, arguing that he appeared more concerned with promoting his content rather than condemning the horrific event. The actor subsequently faced a barrage of criticism and online abuse.
Addressing the backlash, Shoaib has now released a heartfelt video where he clarified his position. He strongly condemned the attack, expressing deep sorrow and heartbreak over the loss of innocent lives. Shoaib insisted that his intentions were grossly misunderstood, highlighting that he had not, in fact, uploaded any new vlog following the tragedy.
Visibly shaken, the actor demanded strict action against those responsible for the violence, stating that such heinous acts must not be tolerated. He went on to share the emotional toll the incident—and the ensuing hate—had taken on him, revealing that he received countless abusive messages.
In a powerful statement, Shoaib expressed his anguish as a Muslim, saying he felt ashamed that such killings were carried out in the name of religion. He firmly asserted that the perpetrators must be brought to justice without mercy.
Towards the end of his video, Shoaib questioned why he and his wife, actress Dipika Kakar, were being singled out. He pointed out that several other vloggers had posted content after the incident but did not face similar backlash. "Why are Dipika and I being targeted? Perhaps it’s because we are very special," he remarked with a hint of sadness.
It’s no secret that Shoaib and Dipika have often found themselves under harsh scrutiny on social media. Despite the frequent criticism, the couple continues to handle negativity with grace and resilience.
