MUMBAI: It is very rare to see popular on-screen jodis re-unite for a TV project!

And it looks like millions of wishes are set to get fulfilled as Zee TV’s Piyaa Albela fame Sheen Dass and Akshay Mhatre, who depicted the roles of Pooja and Naren respectively, will be seen romancing in a new show once again!

The credit behind the reunion goes to none other than renowned producers Jay Mehta and Kinnari Mehta.

Jay and Kinnari have produced some good shows on television such as Rab Se Sona Ishq, Ekk Nayi Pehchaan, Jeet Gayi Toh Piya Morey, Jiji Maa, Gathbandhan among other shows. Jay Mehta’s shows are known for having a unique storyline and a great starcast. And now it looks like they are set to create history with their new show India Wali Maa which will stream on Sony Entertainment Television.

According to our sources, Akshay and Sheen will play the leads along with talented actress Sucheta Trivedi. The show will also star Splitsvilla winner Shrey Mittal as the parallel lead (Read here: Splitsvilla 12 winner Shrey Mittal bags Jay Mehta’s next ).

The show was earlier planned to be shot overseas, however, looking at the current scenario it will now be shot in India itself.

The show will also feature actors namely Sunil Singh, Shubhanshi Raghuwanshi and Vandana Lalwani playing pivotal roles.
