Popatlal goes on a fast to get married

The members of Gokuldham Society will soon be seen fasting in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah all thanks to Popatlal who is tired of being single. A source says, “Soon after the Babita incident where the entire colony bashed up Popatlal for calling up Babita, he is sick and tired of everything and wants to anyhow get married now. Daya who has taken up the charge of getting him married takes him to a baba who tells Popatlal that he will never get married. Baba gives him various reasons like he is overage and that his kundali has problems. But, as Popatlal wants to get married anyhow baba tells him to do Shiv Abhishek and fast on shivratri with his family members. “Next day Popatlal gets up around four in the morning and disturbs everyone as the baba has asked him to go to the Shiv temple with his family between 9 am and 1 pm. He will also see to it that the entire society fasts with him as he considers them to be his family members. The society too supports him though they are not very pleased to do that.” Shyam Pathak, who plays Popatlal says, “Yes, you will see Popatlal fasting and the entire society supporting him.”
