Nia Sharma wooed the audiences with her performance as the bubbly and chirpy Maanvi in Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai (Star Plus). She created ripples which put the production teams to surprise when she chose to go de-glam and bald for her character required in the show. We all know that Nia is all set to essay a lead in Zee TV’s Jamai Raja. Here she would be seen in a completely different avatar unlike her previous show. Says Nia, “To be honest, lot of offers came my way but then taking up something similar to Maanvi would not have stood out. Unlike my previous roles as a sweet middle class girl, here I would essay a high class sophisticated girl who has everything she wants in life except her mother’s love and time. I am glad to be a part of a path breaking show like Jamai Raja. “ Nia who essays Roshni Patel in the show claims that she wanted to do a role which would have put her skills and abilities to test thereby enhancing her talent as an actor. “I am sure that the audience will take some time to connect with my character. In my view, people connect faster with the concepts and drama which cater to the middle class families. I am a little apprehensive of how soon would Roshni connect with the masses but it won’t be long before they would fall in love with her. “ Hmm…. That sounds convincing!!! Moving on to her bonding with her co-actor Ravi, she laughs as she expresses, “In good faith, Ravi is a PJ king! Actually, he is a gem of a person and a great actor. As professionals, we are very different from each other as we schedule and plan things differently.” Well said Nia!!!
