The beauty of a long-running soap truly lies in the script, and on the tenacity of the writers and the team involved to hold the audience glued to the series with its twists and turns.

But what’s the formula for retaining the prime actors associated with such a long-running daily?
 
Guess, such a formula has not yet been derived at, simply because actors tend to get bored by the monotony of playing a character for years and years…

Well, this is exactly what the Colors’ popular Balika Vadhu has been made to go through, with lot many actors after having done well for themselves in the show, deciding to look for greener pastures with time.

The latest actor to have bid adieu to team Balika Vadhu happens to be Shashank Vyas aka Jagya. And the lookout for an actor to get into the shoes of the character, was on for some time now.

As per a popular daily, actor Shakti Anand has been roped in to play Jagya post the exit of Shashank from this Sphereorigins show. 

When we contacted Shakti, he confirmed the development and mentioned, “Yes I am doing the show, though I have not yet signed on the dotted lines. When you begin with a new show, it’s almost like your baby and it depends on you how you want to mould it. But for a daily like Balika Vadhu, I believe it is an added responsibility that has been bestowed on me. And I simply hope that I will be able to live up to the expectations.”

As mentioned above, this is not the first time that the social series is witnessing some replacements. Earlier as well many popular faces had quit the soap opera and were replaced by others.

Toral Rasputra replaced Pratyusha Banerjee- Pratyusha’s replacement was definitely the biggest one in the show and came as a shock for the audience. However, Pratyusha decided to nurse her ill mother at that time and now is doing another show with the same channel.

Aasiya Kazi replaced Sargun Mehta, who replaced Sriti Jha- When Sriti was not happy with her character development in Balika Vadhu, she decided to opt out of the daily and hence, Sargun was roped in. Unfortunately Sargun’s stay was rather short lived and soon Aasiya Kazi stepped in her shoes.

Deblina Chatterjee replaced Anjum Farooki- Before tying the knot, Anjum Farooki bid adieu to Balika Vadhu. Later on when the makers needed to bring back Gauri’s character, Deblina was signed.

Sheetal Khandal replaced Neha Marda - Like Anjum, Neha also decided to take a break from the daily before getting hitched. And Sheetal Khandal happily took her place, while Neha got busy with other projects later on.

Janvi Chheda replaced Vibha Anand- Vibha Anand quit the show long back, and when the character needed to be reintroduced, the makers roped in Janvi Chheda.

Sachin Shroff replaced Vikrant Massey- Same like Vibha’s case, Vikrant backed out of the project and Sachin Shroff came into the picture.

And guess what, even after all these replacements, the show has been doing superbly well. So, one thing is for sure...Balika Vadhu, has always moved ahead, and will even now surely go on!!
