Actor Amit Dua who has enchanted one and all with his screen presence in shows like Kasturi, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kasautii Zindagi Kay, Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat is presently in a state of shock after being recently harassed by a gang of robbers in the wee hours of the night. The incident happened sometime post midnight on 30 April when the guy was headed to the sets of Life OK’s The Adventures of Hatim. Amit Dua was actually roped in by the maker Triangle Films Company to play an antagonist’s role in Hatim, a cameo that was scheduled to go on for four episodes. Amit was to shoot from that very dreaded night, when this incident happened. The actor was looking for the exact address of the Hatim set, and stopped over to ask an auto man. That was when few boys with blades in their hands stopped Amit, and threatened him. They snatched his mobile phone, wallet which had his another sim card, credit cards, driving license, money and other valuables. They also harmed the actor by piercing the blades onto his hand. Says Amit, “It was very scary indeed, and I literally had a blackout after this incident happened. I was on my way to the Hatim sets, and it was my first day of shoot for a new character. However, I could not reach the shoot spot, and had to end up declining the role.” Talking about the shocking incident, the actor states, “I did not know what to do, when I was suddenly surrounded by few men with blades in their hands. They took away everything from me. I also suffered few injuries on my hand, as they hit me with their blades. I did not have time to even react. They robbed me, caused me injuries and ran away. I somehow managed to get to the Western Express Highway, and caught a cab and went directly to one of my friend’s place. I did not even have money to pay the cab guy. My friend did the needful, and gave me medication so that I could sleep through the night. I could visit the doctor only the next morning. I have received few stitches on my hand, as the cut was deep.” Amit who is still to get over the shock does not believe in lodging a complaint with the police. “I am happy and glad that they caused me only minor injuries. It was a frightening incident, and I will not even want to think about it.” Amit, we hope you are able to forget this nightmare of an incident and move on!!
