Balaji Telefilms as we know, is presently working on a show for Life OK which will feature on the lives of seven women achievers. Tentatively titled ‘Mujhe Pankh De De’, the episodic stories will trace the lives of women like Ekta Kapoor, Anjali Bhagwat, Kalpana Chawla and few more.

As per reports in the media, Pooja Gor who came to fame through Ekta Kapoor’s Kitani Mohabbat Hai has been roped in to play the role of the Czarina of TV, Ekta Kapoor.

We now hear that talented actress Roma Bali who is presently seen in Sahara One’s Niyati will essay the role of Ekta’s mother cum guardian, Shobha Kapoor. The shoot for this particular episodic story started from yesterday (16 September 2013), wherein Roma and Pooja shared screen space. Roma will be shown as a doting mother who nurtures her daughter with confidence, will power to stand testing times, just in the way Shobha Kapoor has been Ekta’s main support system in her journey as a Producer.

When contacted, Roma confirmed the news stating, “Yes, I have started shoot for this interesting show. Pooja is a very good actress, and I was simply amazed as she looked exactly like Ekta. It is a nice feeling to play the role of Shobhaji (Kapoor). I got to wear the best of attires and jewellery (smiles).”

On the show, Roma had to say, “I used to always wonder why such shows where people who have shown a path to the masses by way of their achievements have not been made. It is nice to be part of a serial where eminent women personalities will be heralded.”

The show is expected to launch soon.
