Though Diwali is festive time for many people, it became a nightmare for TV actor Ronit Roy, who met with an accident on the fateful day.

When Ronit's Mercedes Benz collided with a Wagon R, driven by the Darera family on 27 October, the gossip mills tried to benefit from the incident and bad mouthed the actor. Ronit was coming back from work when the incident took place. He spent almost the entire day at the police station on the festive occasion when one normally stays with his family.

Though it has been a week since the accident, Ronit can't get over it.

His brother, Rohit Roy spoke to TellyChakkar.com, "Ronit is still in a state of shock. But since he is a thorough professional, he is completing all his assignments on time. We also spoke to the injured family but luckily they are out of danger."

Unlike popular belief, the police treated Ronit like an ordinary man.

"People think that it is easy for a big star to get out of such situations but the reality is much different," says Rohit.

The biggest relief for the Roy family came when Ronit's innocence was proved and the other party was seen to be at fault. Rohit revealed that Ronit will have to go through all the legal procedures as he is a public figure, without going into any further details.

Fans are hoping that like K.D. Pathak, the unbeatable lawyer he plays in the Sony's courtroom drama Adaalat, he too gets out of the spot he is in right now. And that too quickly.
