Shilpa was given a warm welcome by Congress leaders like Sanjay Nirupam, who is the President of Mumbai Congress Committee, and party leader Charan Singh Sapra. As per media reports, Shilpa has taken a break from acting and will now only concentrate on her political career.

It was indeed a surprise to see Shilpa stepping in the political world, as she never discussed her desire to join politics before. The actress has created a name for herself from TV’s show Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain, where she played the role of Angoori Bhabhi and became an overnight star. However, her rift with the makers made headlines, after which she quit the show.

The actress was also part of the India’s most controversial yet popular reality show Bigg Boss 11 and emerged as the winner of the show.
