Here are some of our actresses who claimed to have been stuck in abusive marriages but walked out before it was too late for the sake of their children and sanity.

Shweta Tiwari

The Kasautii Zindagii Kay actress was previously married to  Raja Chaudhary who she accused of domestic violence. She later married Abhinav Kohli, but unfortunately that marriage too ended abruptly with Shweta reporting a case of abuse against him. She had one child each from the marriages who now stay with her.

Dalljiet Kaur

The Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon? Actress was previously married to Bigg Boss 16  contestant Shalin Bhanot. In their 6 years of marriage, Dalljiet accused Shalin of domestic abuse and even infidelity. She filed for divorce and has sole custody of their son.

Nisha Rawal

The ‘Main Lakshmi Tere Aangan Ki’ actress made a very public confession about her ex-husband Karan Mehra physically abusing her on many occasions and even cheating on her. Things went out of hand when he reportedly hit her head on the wall during an argument, causing a major head injury, which required surgery. She filed a police case against him and has sole custody of their son.

Chahatt Khanna

The Bade Achhe Lagte Hain actress has been married twice and both ended on a bad note. The Actress told a news portal, “During both my pregnancies, he would ask me if the babies were his. A day before and four days after the delivery of my second baby, he dragged me out of the house and asked me to leave. He also used to manhandle me during fights. It was like solitary confinement of sorts. Every second day, I was slut-shamed. In fact, he even accused me of dating his own brother.”

Dimpy ganguly

The former Bigg Boss contestant married entertainer Rahul Mahajan at the age of just 25 through the reality show Swayamvar. But the marriage reportedly was abusive. She filed for divorce after being married for 5 years.
