MUMBAI: Saath Nibhaana Saathiya 2 is one of the most successful shows on television and has done well on TRP charts since it has hit the screens.

The leads of the show, Sneha Jain and Harsh Nagar, are loved as an on-screen couple and have a good fan following. Their characters have become household names.

Viewers like the banter between Gehna, Anant, and Kanak, and no wonder the show is doing so well.

Anant as is a strong character, and he always stands for and protects his wife Gehna.  

But did you know that before the makers finalized Harsh Nagar, for the role, it was offered to a few actors who refused?

1. Arjit Taneja

2. Shivin Narang

Shivin is one of the most loved actors of television, best known for his performance in Beyadh 2. He refused the role of Anant owing to some date issues. 

3. Shakti Arora

Shakti is a well-known actor in the television industry best known for his performance in serials like Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi and Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka. The actor was offered the role of Anant but he declined the role as he wants to stay away from television for a while. 

4. Ritvik Arora

Ritvik is known as the heartthrob of television best known for his role in serials like Tu Aashiqui and Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke. He was offered the role of Anant and also gave an audition for the same, but then the makers felt he didn’t fit the bill and hence things didn’t work out. 

5. Zain Imam

Zain Imam is one of the most popular and loved actors on television, best known for his role in Naamkarann. He was offered the role of Anant but then declined it owing to other professional commitments. 

Well, in the end, the role was bagged by Harsh Nagar, and fans feel he is the perfect choice for the role and no one could do justice to Anant the way he does.
