Shweta Kwatra will soon be seen hosting a show Bollywood Biographies on Zoom TV. As the name suggests, the show is based on the biographies of Bollywood actors. The actors to be featured in the show are legendary or popular film stars. Unlike most shows on Zoom which are based on Bollywood gossip, this show aims at profiling the film stars in a larger than life way. The show produced by Moving Picture Company will be telecast from July. The tentative time slot of the show is 8 pm every week. The actors on the show will not be interviewed but their associates will share experiences and information about them. The creative director, Imran said, “We are going to get the actor’s close associates like drivers, close pals and co-actors to describe them. For instance, Govinda will be seen talking about Salman.” An exclusive video of the actor’s personal life will be shown. When asked how difficult it was in getting such footage, he said, “It requires a lot of efforts. We have a twelve thousand hours video footage in the archives of our library which is going to be used for this show. We have videos of actors in their shooting locations and private moments.” Shweta has hosted Bollywood shows earlier as well. She was seen on shows like Current Bollywood on Set Max and Good Morning Bollywood on Sahara One. “I enjoy doing such shows. Here I won’t be seen gossiping or bitching about film stars. This time the audience will see me talking nice things about them,” exuded Shweta. We asked the creative director Imran about Shweta as their choice for hosting this show. He said, “We were looking for someone who is associated with Bollywood in some way. We were not looking for a new face. Since Shweta has hosted Bollywood oriented shows earlier, she was the perfect choice for us.” Shweta who came to fame with Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki, has not been doing a daily soap since quite a long time. She replied, “That is because I don’t feel like doing them. I will only take up work that I feel like doing. As of now I am more interested in hosting and anchoring.” With most of her contemporaries opting for reality shows, will she be seen in another reality show? She said, “I am not interested in them. I will not participate in reality shows unless there is dignity and reality attached to it. I don’t mind hosting a reality show but I am not keen on participating in it.” She had participated in a reality dance show Nach Baliye along with hubby Maanav Gohil.
