Sophie Choudry’s choreographer on Colors’ Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa -7 (BBC), Deepak Singh is completely open to face-offs in this season of this dance reality show. Well it’s not us, but the choreographer himself saying, “We are completely open to face-offs.” The duo was the first jodi to compete in the face-off this season with VJ Andy and his choreographer Bhavani, but they survived the axe, while Andy was shown the gate. But, why is Deepak ready for a face-off? “Sophie has a different fan following and these people don’t watch much of TV; hence there are high chances of us running short of votes and coming in the bottom two. In fact, the first face-off was very surprising for us, but now, we are prepared for it,” said the dancer. Is choreographing for Sophie easier given the fact she has some item numbers to her credit. “She is not a professional dancer. She knows the basics, but needs to work on intermediate and advance style of dancing. Moreover shooting for a dance sequence in films is very different from giving a one take dance performance where you have to create the ‘wow factor’ then and there.” “Sophie has also done a lot of glamorous videos with not much of emotions involved in them. Hence, it gets difficult for her to enter that zone. But, this time you’ll see her moving out of her comfort zone,” assured the chorographer. We are waiting to catch up on Sophie’s new avatar.
