MUMBAI: Thrilled to be a part of the ongoing popular show Qurbaan Hua, Sshrey Pareek is busy prepping up for his role. He was last seen in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, where his track came to an end in 2018. The actor reveals that it took him two years to bag the kind of show he wanted to be a part of and is making sure that he makes this an interesting journey. “There were offers but of them was exciting enough. I was not in the mood to settle for anything less than what I wanted. Finally, I got an opportunity in Qurbaan Hua and it offered me the kind of story and character that I have been wishing to explore,” he says.  Giving us a glimpse about his character in the show, Pareekh shares that he plays negative role and is related Dr Chahat Baig Dhyani, the lead female character in the story that is being essayed by Pratibha Ranta.“My character has grey shades, lot of dimensions and an interesting back story. The entry of the character will add a new twist in the plot and there will be revenge, love and many interesting revelations. I can’t say much about it right now except that the audience would enjoy what they are going to see,” he adds.

Pareekh shares that it’s challenging to join a show midway. So he is preparing himself mentally.  “This entry is more like adding a new element of interest to change the course of the plot. This means my responsibility is to make the show work better. Not to forget I will also have to make a mark among other characters who have already been established and enjoys a strong bond with the audience. I had earlier worked with the producer of this show. I was a part of their fiction, Devanshi, so there’s a bond that we share. I’m grateful that they trusted me with this interesting role and gave me another chance,” he ends.
