Sudhanshu Pandey who plays the lead role in Fireworks Productions' Akela on Sony TV is gung-ho about a new film that he has just signed on. " It's a Sanjay Gupta film titled Alibaugwhich is scheduled to begin shooting in November. The dialogues for the film are being penned by Gulzar.The story revolves around a few friends who meet after many years for a particular reason and their lives take an unusual turn after this," says an elated Sudhanshu. And interestingly, the film has many of his real life pals from the small screen giving him company. Some of the names doing the rounds are Rohit Roy, Sanjay Suri, Samir Soni and R.Madhavan. On being queried about how he would adjust his time between Akela and the film, he says, " I will manage to sort out the days for both because it's not everyday that you get to do a Sanjay Gupta film." But then hasn't he already worked in a Sanjay Gupta directed film earlier? "Yes," he avers, "it's called Dus Kahaniyan' with ten different stories woven together and I am in the first story. The picture is completed and due for release in the near future." Co-starring with him are the tele anchor Mandira Bedi and Arbaaz Khan. Meanwhile, Sudhanshu's track in Akela is shaping up in two different directions. One of the tracks focuses on a separate story after he comes out of coma and the other a personal track running along. As of now, the actor is reluctant to reveal if Ranvir (his character) will team up with ex-flame Kinnari (Aashka Goradia) once again on the show. Well, lets hope he does!
