MUMBAI: Sony Entertainment Television’s popular show Mere Dad Ki Dulhan is keeping the audience entertained with the adorable equation of the father-daughter duo of Amber (Varun Badola) and Niya (Anjali Tatrari). And now, Shaleen Malhotra is the latest entrant to join the cast of the show. 

In the current track, Shaleen Malhotra’s entry as Rishi Burman has made quite an impact and will play a pivotal role as the story unfolds. By profession Rishi is a businessman, who happens to be quite the charmer and smooth talker by nature. He will inspire Niya, mould her and also help her inculcate the never-give-up attitude.  

It's the first time in his career Shaleen is playing such a role and he seems to be enjoying the new challenge. The actor, who is quite social and affable, didn't take long to gel with the cast of the show. Though he says that the cast made him feel extremely comfortable and welcoming on the set.

Talking about his new colleagues and peers, Shaleen says, "I am really excited to be associated with a show such as Mere Dad Ki Dulhan which has an ensemble cast! I have always believed that an actor learns by either watching good actors or working with them. Here, I get to do both. Varun Badola and Shweta Tiwari are experienced and exceptionally talented actors, and I am looking forward to learning a few things from them. On the other hand, Anjali is very kind-hearted and an honest person, which is rare to find these days. All three of them were very supportive and welcoming, and I am enjoying working with the entire team." 

Speaking about being part of the show, Shaleen shares his excitement and adds, "My previous roles were quite different from the one I am essaying in the show as Rishi’s character is very real and a go-getter! He is someone who is self-made and ambitious, but also a romantic at the same time. The kind of influence he will have on Niya’s life will be something to watch out for. I'm glad to be part of such a progressive and entertaining show."
