The opening success of Jee Le Zara encourages Producer Shrishti Arya to work harder

Sony Entertainment Television has of late not struck gold with its new fiction launches namely Dil Ki Nazar Se Khoobsurat, Chhanchhan, Anamika et al. And at this juncture, the mature love story coming from the stables of Rose Audio Visuals, Kehta Hai Dil… Jee Le Zara is expected to break this trend and do good business. The opening ratings (comparatively) have indeed doubled the hopes of the channel and the makers. Here is Producer Shrishti Arya reacting to the response got. “I am very happy not only for the numbers, but also because many people are telling me that although they don’t generally watch television, they do check out my show for it is closer to reality. What really works for Jee Le Zara is that we just don’t focus on the older woman-younger man relationship, but cover all other family aspects as well.” “This opening success encourages me to work that much harder, as we still have a long way to go before the show can be called stable. I am also aware that competition is already hard at the 9 pm slot and will only get tougher in the weeks to come,” she added. Shrishti is also full of praise for her lead cast. “Ruslan Mumtaaz looks very cute, and has been widely appreciated. As for Sangeeta Ghosh, she is a superb actress. When you get a proper casting everything falls in place.” The Producer is also hopeful that if shows like Jee Le Zara click, it opens the possibility of more mature and urban centric shows to become the norm. She further added that she enjoys working with Sony as they give her lots of creative freedom. “I had a superb time with them during Dekha Ek Khwaab as well, where at one time I was delivering 45 minutes daily episodes as well.” A source added that Sony must be quite happy with Jee Le Zara as the show is delivering decent numbers at a much lower budget when compared to a Chhanchhan. The source further added that Jee Le Zara has worked on its own, and the numbers are not due to tune in from previous time slot shows . It is bringing in fresh audiences. In closing the source added that what makes the job of the Rose Audio Visuals creatives of Jee Le Zara easier is that the lead actors are professionals, unlike some of the cast in Dekha Ek Khwaab. All the best to Jee Le Zara team…
