MUMBAI: Ace dancer Raghav Juyal, who has been anchoring Dance Deewane has taken a break from the show. Last month, the dancer-actor tested positive for COVID-19 after which Bharti Singh and her husband Harsh Limbachiyaa stepped in as anchors. The couple has continued to anchor the show leaving viewers wondering when Raghav will return.

Raghav is currently in his hometown in Uttarakhand, where he has been trying to help people in difficulty owing to the pandemic situation. When we reached out to him, he said, "As soon as restrictions were announced in Maharashtra, I moved to my hometown, Pauri, in Uttarakhand. Then I got infected with COVID-19 and so I had to quarantine at home for two weeks. During this period, while I was at home, I realised that the area around my village was deeply affected and the health centres were not well-equipped. They did not have enough medicines and I felt that I should do something to support them so that people do not have to travel to cities and get treated. So after I recovered from COVID-19, I started helping people in the rural areas in Uttarakhand and supplying essential materials to health centres.".

Talking about Dance Deewane, he said, "I took a break for a few weeks from the show because I was not in a state of mind to dance and sing because I felt my state needed me and I should do something to help people during the pandemic. But, I will resume shooting for the show next month.".

Ask him if he feels insecure about other anchors taking his place and he said, "There are so many dance shows happening on television. If someone has stepped in my place and is doing a good job, it's great. I will be back on the show soon. TV has given me a lot and I am grateful. But, I never get insecure about these things.".
