Tu Aashiqui to go off air
With new shows coming in, Colors is taking off its old shows, especially those not playing well in the TRP game. Colors recently launched Bigg Boss,and now the channel is all set to come up with its next big show Dastaan-e-Mohabbat: Salim Anarkali starring Shaheer Sheikh. Owing to these changes, Colors’ most popular show Tu Ashiqui hai will be soon going off air. As per media reports, the show will air it’s last episode on 12 October. The show was recently moved to 6 PM slot for Internet Wala Love.
Garima Jain quits Internet Wala Love
Actress-singer Garima Jain, who received lots of accolades for her character in Shakti-Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki, has stepped out of her new show, Internet Wala Love, which airs on Colors. She was supposed to play the parallel lead in the serial, but has quit as she was not happy with the way her role was shaping up.
Two new entries in 'Dastaan-E-Mohabbat: Salim Anarkali'
Colors' upcoming show Dastaan-E-Mohabbat: Salim Anarkali has already created a lot of buzz with its wonderful promo. As per media reports, actor Avdeep Sandhu, who has acted in shows like Piyaa Albela, Dil Dhoondta Hai and Ye kahan Aa Gaye Hum, has been roped in to play the character of Murad Mirza. Also, Marathi actor Rishi Saxena, who has done noticeable work in Kahe Diya Pardes, will play the role of Daniyal Mirza.
Taher Shabbir roped in to play Sangram Singh in Kangana Ranaut's Manikarnika
The shoot of Kangana Ranaut-starrer Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi is in progress, and there are some further developments. Since Kangana has taken over reins of Manikarnika to complete the patchwork of the film ahead of its Republic Day 2019 release, the film’s shoot has been going full throttle with an exciting new development every day.
The cast of Manikarnika has a new addition. TV star Taher Shabbir will be seen essaying the role of Sangram Singh, a rebel, who joined Rani Lakshmi Bai and other heroes in the 1857 war of Independence against the British and played an important role in what the British called a Mutiny. Taher is already good at horse riding while his sword- fighting lessons have started with action director Nick Powell.
The team will start shooting with him at ND Studio in Karjat towards the end of the month as soon as the team wraps up shooting two songs. The shoot of one song featuring Kangana Ranaut and Ankita Lokhande is currently in progress and then another one with the leading lady and her husband played by Jisshu Sengupta will start filming on 18 September.
Taher plays a pivotal role and has many scenes with Kangana in the film. When asked about being approached for Manikarnika, Taher said Kangana is like a family, and he is very happy to be a part of the film. It is hectic but feels awesome, he said.
Kangana is currently shooting climax scenes with Nick. Zeeshan Ayyub who now plays Sadshiv Narayan Rao will begin shooting for his sequences in a few days. With all the developments with this film, we definitely can’t wait for the trailer.
Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi produced by Zee Studios, Kamal Jain and Kairos kontent studios is slated to release on 25 January. The teaser is expected to be out on 2 October 2018.

Colors’ Kaun Hai to be revamped
Colors' paranormal drama Kaun Hai has been keeping audiences enthralled with the many jump scares and spine-chilling sequences. The weekly will get a new title. As the show is undergoing a change in its format, it will now be known as Kaun Hai - Khauff Ka Ek Naya Adyay. The show used to telecast one episode but now the episodes will last for good eight – 10 days. Vatsal Seth and Ishita Dutta will be playing the leads in the serial.
Additi Gupta will tie the knot with beau Kabir Chopra in December
At the beginning of this month, actress Additi Gupta announced her engagement to businessman Kabir Chopra. As per media reports, Additi and Kabir will get married on 12 December. It will be a destination wedding outside the country. And the serene Sri Lanka has been zeroed in on as the destination.

Monalisa turns choreographer for her serial Nazar
Actress Monalisa said that she had a lot of fun while teaching her co-stars how to dance. The actress, who is currently playing a daayan in the Star Plus show Nazar, choreographed the wedding dance act for her show. While talking to a leading publication, Monalisa said that when she came to know about this sequence the dancer in her came out, and she volunteered to choreograph the dance as dace is her passion.
Arjun Bijlani gets emotional as Dance Deewane wraps up
Colors’ newest reality show, Dance Deewane aired its final episode last night, and while it did get its first ever winner in the form of young Alok Shah, it also meant that there will be no more of the show that the team or the viewers will get. Host Arjun Bijlani along with the judges did grow closer. And, just as the show aired its last episode, Arjun became emotional and shared a message on social media.

Radhaashtami celebration on the set of RadhaKrishn
Radha is the queen of transcendental love. On the auspicious occasion of Radhaashtami today, the team of the upcoming show RadhaKrishncelebrated on the set in umbergaon, Gujarat. Radhaashtami is marked as birth of Radha. Before starting the day’s schedule, the actors recited a few aarti and even performed Raas Leela. A special puja is being done to celebrate this special day and interestingly, actor Mallika Singh, who is essaying Radha in the show, is also fasting.
Sources inform that the puja started in the first half and went on for a couple of hours after which bhajan were played on the set. The makers planned the special celebration much in advance so that the shooting schedule is not disrupted. Sumedh Mudgalkar, who plays Krishn and is a worshipper of RadhaKrishn, is also fasting. Both Malika and Sumedh also distributed sweets to the cast and crew of the show.
When contacted, Malika Singh said, “It’s a blessing to play Radha on-screen. But today, the entire team worshipped Radha by hosting a puja on the set. I along with Sumedh also distributed sweets to the entire crew. Bhajans were also played and many team members also performed Raas Leela.”
Achint Kaur has an actor crush on director Shashanka Ghosh!
Renowned television and cinema actor Achint Kaur, who was seen playing Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor’s ‘maasi’ in 2 States, will next be seen in Shashanka Ghosh's web series on Times Group’s soon-to-be launched OTT Platform. Kaur will be starring alongside actors Rajat Barmecha and Parul Gulati. The show hints towards a taboo subject, in a quirky but hilarious way.

Waseem Mushtaq in Colors’ Shrimad Bhagavad
Colors is rolling out its new mythological show Shrimad Bhagavad, produced by Nikhil Dwivedi, which will depict the post Mahabharata story. It will be a 52 episode series airing for an hour every Sunday. As per media reports, Waseem Mushtaq, who has entertained audience with his acting in shows like Amrit Manthan, Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya, Dilli Wali Thakur Gurls, Mere Angne Mein and Bitti Business Wali, has been roped in for the show. Waseem will play the role of Lord Ram. It will be a guest appearance in the show.
