TV actor Lokesh Batta bags a role in Salman Khan's Hero remake

Television actor Lokesh Batta, who was last seen in Channel V's Yeh Jawaani Ta Ra Ri Ri, will soon be seen making his foray into Bollywood. The handsome hunk has bagged a role in Hero which is being produced by superstar Salman Khan.

Lokesh, who originally hails from Delhi, shifted work base to Mumbai two years back to pursue a career in acting. The actor's first brush with stardom happened when he clinched a prominent part in Road Dairies (beamed on Bindaas). A few months later, Lokesh landed a role in Yeh
Jawaani
...where he played the role of Billoo, a college bully. In between, this 25-year old was also associated as an Assistant Director with Atul Agnihotri's O Teri.

When we rang Lokesh, the actor confirmed being a part of Hero but remained tightlipped refusing divulge any more details. "I have a good role in Hero and I am very happy is all what I can say for the moment," said Lokesh.

Hero will mark the debut of star kids, Sooraj Pancholi (Aditya Pancholi's son) and Athiya Shetty(Suneil Shetty's daughter). Helmed by Nikhil Advani, the movie is an official remake of Subhash Ghai's Hero and is slated to release next year.
