MUMBAI: Kanwar Dhillon is one of the popular actors of the television industry and has a massive fan following.

He is ruling the television screens these days with his role as Shiva in Star Plus's most successful show Pandya Store.

His pair with Alice is loved by the audience and they consider them as one of the most loved and iconic pairs on television.

These days he is making headlines for his new show " Udne Ki Aasha" which will launch on Star Plus soon.

The fans are excited to see him in a new avatar and as usual they did like him during the promo of the show.

TellyChakkar got in touch with Kanwar and asked him about his bond with his father and what advice he has given him when it comes to his career.

What kind of feedback do you get from your father who is such a veteran actor in the entertainment industry?

In the initial days he used to advise him then but now he knows that I know my work and hence he doesn't say much. In Fact he is very happy for Udne Ki Asha and full time at my place Star Plus is on and he keeps seeing the promo and tells me that he liked the promo though he has seen it so many times. Even when the trailer came he kept watching it with happiness and that's the blessing you have by having your parent around and that's the good thing that when something good happens they are around to celebrate that with you, but sometimes when he sees the episodes and he feels I could do better he would tell me but not that much as he used to tell during his initial days.

Do you remember the initial advice that he gave you during your starting days as an actor?

When you start you are so raw and I used to read about voice modulation and how to tell a dialogue sternly, studying the tempo of it etc. In the initial days with my shows like Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha, he was very happy the way my career started and he was happy that I essayed  a negative role as he has done so many, though I told him that though I debuted in a negative role that's not my goal as I wanted to be hero and he told me work is work but we both have an argument on it. When I take breaks in between he advised me that I should take up any role, but that's not the way I function. I just can't do any role and I am very specific that I want to do hero only and in TV you can't jump from one character to another.

But in today's time many actor's want to play negative roles as they feel it's very challenging because as a hero there is nothing big to do?

I have worked both negative and positive, where in like Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha I played a negative role and also in Internet Wala Love but then I was forced to quit and I decided that I wouldn't do negative on TV but if I get an offer in the OTT space then I will kill it but I am not sure if I would play the role in movies but hundred percent I won't expiring on Television.
