Ulka Gupta in DJ's next on Sony

Young gun Ulka Gupta who won millions of hearts with her powerful portrayal of young Rani Lakshmi Bai aka Manu in Zee TV’s Jhansi Ki Rani has been approached for a meaty role in DJ’s A Creative Unit’s next on Sony. Ulka was noticed by the makers of Jhansi Ki Rani in Zee TV’s popular show Saath Phere where she essayed the character of young Sawari. She was then selected to play the role of young Rani Lakshmi Bai. She enthralled the masses for almost a year and now the latest news that is floating in is that the little bundle of talent has been approached for DJ’s new show on Sony. A source informs, “Ulka has been approached for the role of Ginni who is very confident and smart. Initially Ulka was approached for another character but for her confidence and acting prowess she was finally chosen to play Ginni. The storyline of the show is very unique as it talks about parenting. The story revolves around a big family which has two daughter-in-laws. One of the daughter-in-laws’ character will be played by Shweta Tiwari and Ulka will depict the role of her daughter.” Tellychakkar team spoke to Ulka who said, “Yes I have been approached for the role. I have given the look test but I can’t comment anything on this as nothing has been finalised yet.” It has already been reported that Shweta Tiwari and Vivek Mushran will play husband and wife in the show.
