Vandana Lalwani who is making a comeback on the show after a long time is donning the kannadian avatar and playing the role of Chinamma’s stepmother, speaks about her character. She said, “I got excited on knowing about this opportunity as I love Kannadian culture. Although it was a challenge for me to get into the character of Vasundhra who is Chinamma's stepmother and  doesn't vibe well with her but somehow I perfectly managed to look authentic, and everyone loved it."

She then continues, “I really love their attire and even for the auditions I donned a kanjivaram saree and with Gajara which was loved by everybody. Hema Ji and Sri Devi Ji movies helped me out to catch hold of the accent and give my best. Also, Vasu is one such character who brings a laugh to everyone on sets and I hope for a positive response from the audience.”
