What ails Gajendra Singh's shows on Sahara One?

Gajendra Singh
Gajendra Singh is a big name in the world of entertainment. He is the man who started and glorified the world of singing reality shows (remember Antakshari and Sa Re Ga Ma Pa). Now, a lot of buzz was created in the media with the news of him launching not one, but two shows for Sahara One under his banner Sai Baba Telefilms. One is a singing reality show, Sur-Kshetra and the other a fiction serial, Ghar Aaja Pardesi Tera Des Bulaye. Both these shows were supposed to hit the airwaves quite some time ago, but for some unforeseen reasons, it never really happened. So we started wondering…what really ails Gajendra Singh’s shows? Rumours hit the grapevine that both his shows have been scrapped. There were also whispers that Sur-Kshetra will be aired in a different channel now. So what is the actual truth behind the delay? Let’s hear it from the man himself. “We are almost done with the shooting of Sur-Kshetra as we just came back last month from Dubai (shooting venue). However, we are still waiting for the channel to give us an on-air date. The moment we get the date, the series will hit the airwaves,” said Gajendra Singh to Tellychakkar.com. A source informed us that all episodes of Sur-Kshetra have been canned. Only its grand finale sequence is left to be shot in London. When it comes to the fiction show, Ghar Aaja, the production house has already shot ten episodes in diverse locations namely London, Mumbai and parts of North India. But its airing date got delayed as the channel was not happy with the results of the shooting. In fact, the production people were asked to re-shoot the sequences. “We have managed to shoot a couple of episodes but then we stopped shooting as the second lead was not finalized. There are no other reasons for the delay,” said Gajendra. (Tellychakkar.com reported about Sapna Pabbi being roped in to play the second female lead on the show yesterday (23 May 2012). He further added, “Now that we have found the second lead we will begin shooting and hopefully the show should go on-air very soon.” We also spoke to Abir Goswami, who is a part of the cast of Ghar Aaja Pardesi and he said, “We were to go on-air on 4 June 2012, however that won’t happen. But the production house has assured us that the show will most probably hit the screens in July.” Well…let’s keep our fingers crossed!!!
