A page from the personal diary of Dipika Samson

I was very close to my dad when I was young. My dad was in the army so we kept shifting from one place to another. We were posted in Bhopal once and were invited to Pune for a relative’s wedding. Unfortunately my dad fell ill and he could not attend the ceremony. Mom and I left for Pune. But once I reached there I kept pestering my mom. I didn’t allow her to stay in the function for more than half an hour. I pulled her out of the function as I wanted to be with my dad. So we got out of Pune and came back to Bhopal. Till date my mom tells me that I didn’t allow her to enjoy the wedding. It was quite funny actually. Times have changed and now I stay alone in Mumbai as my parents are in Goa. I do miss them a lot and wish could sapend more time with them. But it is all a passing phase and I know they are happy that I am in Mumbai and doing well in life.

Professionally, I never wanted to become an actor. I was an air-hostess and after I quit this profession I got into acting. Acting happened by chance but I am already three shows old now. I have realised that acting was my calling. I shall continue acting in the future as well. But this is quite a demanding profession and one doesn’t get much time to relax or rejuvenate. Yet whenever I get some free time I love to shop, cook, watch movies and listen to music. Personally, I do believe in love but I like keeping personal life personal.

I believe that God has been very kind on me and I am thankful for everything that I have received in life. Furthermore, I would not have been here without the love and blessing of my fans. I want to tell them that I love them a lot and appreciate their warmth and affection. Please love me the same way in the future as well.
