MUMBAI: Zee TV’s latest fiction show, Rishton Ka Manjha, has made a remarkable impression on the audience since its premiere on 23rd August. Its intriguing plot and relatable characters like Arjun (Krushal Ahuja) and Diya (Aanchal Goswami) have struck a chord in the minds and hearts of Zee TV’s loyal viewers. In fact, the show’s opening sequences have been the talk of the town these days, especially the scene where Krushal Ahuja was seen standing on top of the Second Hooghly Bridge, which is also called the Vidyasagar Setu. The whole cast and crew had the time of their life while shooting for this thrilling stunt sequence in Kolkata and the lead star reveals everything that happened behind the scenes for this specific sequence.

While shooting for this special sequence of Rishton Ka Manjha on the Second Hooghly Bridge, Krushal says he had an experience of a lifetime. For the dramatic scene where he is seen contemplating if life is truly worth it or if he should give it all up, the actor was to stand on the edge of the bridge’s railing. The cast and crew would reach the location at 4:30 am in the night and shoot for these sequences for about 6 hours on three consecutive days. Since special permissions had been procured from the West Bengal State Government for shooting, they had to wrap up before 10:30 am so that no issue was faced by the public.

Recalling his experience, Krushal Ahuja shared “Never in the wildest of my dreams did I think that someday I’d be shooting on top of the Vidyasagar Setu. I remember passing it by whenever we would travel outside the city ... shooting on top of it got all my childhood memories back. I must add that we had some real fun while shooting for the sequence. In fact, seeing the Howrah bridge right in front of me, it just felt amazing, especially at 6 am in the morning when the traffic was minimal. In fact, like any other city, people tend to get a little excited when they see some shooting happening around here as well. The same happened at the Second Hooghly Bridge where people kept slowing down their cars or even halting to watch us do the stunt. Fortunately, our crew members handled the situation really well and we successfully finished our sequence without causing any inconvenience to commuters. All in all, it was an experience of a lifetime.”

While Krushal is all delighted and happy about pulling off the stunt, his new show on Zee TV - Rishton Ka Manjha is set to engage audiences with its unique storyline and spread some positivity in their lives. In the show we see Diya, a bright and chirpy middle-class Bengali girl, who hopes to build a meaningful life for herself and support her middle-class family. On the other hand, Arjun is a former Badminton champ who comes from an affluent Marwari business family. He has given up on life after a scandal jeopardizes his career and even his near and dear ones don’t support him through his most testing times! How Diya shines the light of optimism and reinforces Arjun’s belief in her philosophy – “If all isn’t well, it isn’t the end” forms the crux of the show.

To know what happens after Diya and Arjun meet, tune in to Rishton Ka Manjha, Monday to Saturday 7:00pm only on Zee TV.
