MUMBAI: Sayantani Ghosh is an Indian television actress, who is best known for her contributions to the Hindi entertainment industry. Hailing from Kolkata (West Bengal), she shifted to Mumbai years ago in order to pursue her acting career. She is known for playing poignant roles in popular Hindi TV series and soaps.
Before everything else, she started her showbiz career through modelling. Sayantani had won the 'Miss Calcutta' beauty pageant and bagged some minimal roles in Bengali films before making her first television debut with the popular Star Plus show back in 2002 - Kumkum - Ek Pyara Sa Bandhan.
After that, there was no stopping Sayantani and she went on starring in other famous Hindi shows like Adaalat, supernatural drama Naaginn (2007), mythological drama Mahabharat (2013), Naamkarann (2016), Karn Sangini (2018), Sanjivni 2 (2019), Barrister Babu (2020) apart from others. It was only after starring in Mahabharat for the role of Rajmata Satyavati that she garnered immense household fame with her brilliant acting chops.
Apart from doing TV serials, Sayantani was also seen participating in various genres' reality shows like Comedy Circus (Seasons 1 and 2), Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 3, Bigg Boss 6, Welcome - Baazi Mehmaan-Nawaazi Ki, Dare 2 Dance and lastly, Box Cricket League 2. She has also been an active member of the famous comedy show Comedy Nights with Kapil, wherein she played many characters.
Now recently, Sayantani took to her official Instagram handle to share her latest video, wherein she can be seen joining the bandwagon of fellow telly actors like Parth Samthaan, Shiny Doshi, Madalsa Sharma, Rupali Ganguly, Sriti Jha and many others, for performing the latest Insta trends.
Sayantani can be seen performing the 'THIS or THAT' challenge trend in her video, to the beats of Tesher's and Jason Derulo's popular track 'Jalebi Baby'. Talking about her version of 'twist' to the trend, her choices of questions are being referred to herein.
In the video, Sayantani can be seen donning a mid-sleeved blue loose top with boyfriend jeans. Occasionally, she's also seen endorsing and flaunting certain temporary garments, accessories and articles like a long brown coat with a knotted hairband, a pair of glasses and a pack of UNO cards, in order to react to her questions in the video with a more realistic approach.

Talking about her current professional front, Sayantani is currently essaying the role of Daljeet Bagga in Sony SAB's Tera Yaar Hoon Main (2020), opposite Sudeep Sahir, who plays her on-screen husband Rajiv Bansal. Sayantani is garnering immense appraisals for Daljeet's fearless, bold and vibrant role as a mother.
