Acclaimed writer Zama Habib needs no introduction!!

His writing instincts have been applauded and appreciated every time he has taken to writing for a new show!! His vast body of work as writer includes popular shows Ek Ladki Anjaani Si, Lo Ho Gayi Pooja Iss Ghar Ki, Sapna Babul Ka... Bidaai, Sasural Genda Phool, Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hain, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hain, Saas Bina Sasural, Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara, Meri Bhabhi, Gangaa to name a few.

His association as Producer with Ravi Ojha for shows Sasural Genda Phool and Sajda Tere Pyaar Mein turned out to be yet another feather in his cap.

Now, Zama Habib will be getting back as Producer, this time going solo under his banner Qissago Telefilms.

The latest news is that Zama is working on a fiction show for Star Plus, which will be a family drama with emphasis being on emotions and love.

The story with the backdrop as Banaras has got its lead faces.

Young lad Kunal Khosla, who was last seen as the young generation lead in Star Plus’ popular show Diya Aur Baati Hum has been signed in to play the lead role. Newbie Bhumika Gurung who has featured in few episodics, including a beautiful love tale in Yeh Hai Aashiqui will play the female lead.

As per sources, “The unit is presently shooting the show’s pilot in Banaras. The show is slated to go on floor, post the channel research process in about a month’s time.”

As for Kunal, his character in the show will be a contrast to what he essayed in Diya Aur Baati Hum. We hear that Kunal will have a rugged persona, and will be an arrogant young man.

We tried buzzing both Kunal and Bhumika, but could not reach them.

We tried our level best to get in touch with Producer Zama Habib, but received no revert from him till we filed the story. Of course, we will try our best to talk to him about his new show.

Our efforts to get a confirmation from the channel spokesperson were in vain.
