Music mogul Simon Cowell is certainly one of the most powerful names in the music industry. The creator of shows like American Idol and The X Factor has established himself as a celebrated television personality and music icon over the years. However, the judge known for his witty and often mean-spirited remarks was left red-faced by a 21 year old aspiring contestant from Denver on the latest season of The X Factor USA on BIG CBS LOVE when she failed to recognize him.
During the Denver auditions, 21 year old Yosselin Marquez, who happens to idolize Simon’s co-judge latino diva Paulina Rubio, bluntly asked him who he was as he was preparing to ask her a few questions. Although Yosselin’s performance ended up being a disaster, it was really Simon who was left embarrassed on national television.
But as we all know, Simon Cowell is not amongst the ones to take a punch lying down. It was time to vote and soon it was Simon’s turn to humiliate the young contestant. He voted a firm “No” and chose not to break the news gently, simply blurting, “You don’t have the X Factor and Denver hates you.”
With her dreams shattered on national television, the young girl was captured back-stage saying, “I don’t care about the judges like honestly, I don’t even know that guy. Who is he? I have never seen him before, nothing and I think he got mad because I asked him his name, whatever, I don’t care.”
Well one thing’s for sure, with Simon Cowell around there’s definitely not going to be a dull moment on the show.
