MUMBAI: Mumbai Indians (MI) secured a convincing 54-run victory over Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in Match 45 of IPL 2025. With this win, MI climbed to third place on the points table, while LSG slipped to sixth. MI posted an imposing 215/7 before bowling LSG out for 161, keeping their dream alive for a record-extending sixth IPL title with only a handful of league matches remaining.

Among the spectators at the game were Jasprit Bumrah’s wife, Sanjana Ganesan, and their son Angad. Bumrah delivered a stunning performance, finishing with figures of 4 for 22, playing a key role in MI’s dominant win. After the match, celebrations broke out both on the field and in the stands, with Sanjana visibly delighted.
A video from the match quickly went viral showing Sanjana clapping enthusiastically after Bumrah took a wicket, while young Angad appeared largely unmoved by the celebrations. Some social media users jumped to wild conclusions, speculating that the toddler was "depressed" or "traumatised" by the atmosphere.

Unsurprisingly, these insensitive comments did not sit well with Sanjana. Taking to Instagram, she slammed the trolls for making inappropriate and baseless remarks about a child’s reactions. She strongly defended her son, calling out those who were quick to pass judgment on a toddler’s behaviour.

Despite the off-field drama, the focus remains on MI’s strong form as they charge towards the IPL 2025 playoffs.
