Things we DON'T want to see on TV in 2016

Things we DON

The year 2015 was eventful for Indian television shows. But when we look back, we can be sure that we were bombarded with stereotypical stuff…Well, shouldn’t that change in this year? We drum up a list of things we DON’T want to see on TV in 2016…take a look:

Supernatural elements

The show, which starts on a social note and interesting stories and ends up with the entry of a naagin, dayan, animals and what not. We have grown up seeing vamps and villains and now we watch a dayan or an animal taking revenge from the shows’ lead.  Isn’t that crazy?

Rona-dhona

A person watches TV for refreshment after a hard day at work. But whenever you switch channels, you spot the cast crying their eyes out.

Abrupt ending

It takes lot of effort to make a show. No doubt every show comes with an expiry date but ending it on TRP-basis ruins the charm. This results in abrupt ending. 2015 saw many shows go this route, like Manmarziyan, Dil Ki Baatein Dil Hi Jaane, Kuch Toh Hai Tere Mere Darmiyaan, Mooh Boli Shaadi and more.

No more episodics

Episodic shows were the IN thing of 2015. Initially, it was exciting to watch them. But now they have just become repetitive.

Illogical plots

For TRPs, makers have to try and test plot that border on the bizarre. Last year, we saw illogical plots like reincarnation, possessed drama, ghost tracks and more. So please rack your brains and serve something new to us. It should make sense too!

What do you fans want to banish from shows this year? Comment away…
