They are beautiful and mind-blowing actors!! In any given role, they can carve a niche and give remarkable performances. Having gone through a journey of their own in their respective roles, these gutsy ladies have entertained one and all for the whole of 2016. 

Here’s presenting the Top Female Faces for the Year 2016 (In alphabetical order). 

Divyanka Tripathi

This charming lady has had a brilliant 2016, both personally as well as professionally. A year where she looked her best, portrayed her role to the best of her abilities and found her right match in real life!! Her marriage to actor Vivek Dahiya has only stemmed up her zeal and desire to achieve bigger things in her professional life. And there’s not stopping her, as she is supremely talented, with her head right on her shoulders. She’s been continuing her great job of playing the role of Ishita to finesse in the successful show Yeh Hai Mohabbatein. 

Drashti Dhami             

Drashti is an actress who started the year 2016 playing the elegantly beautiful Rani in Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani. Her portrayal in the period show was stupendous, to the extent that her exit came as a crude shock to her fans. After utilizing her break to good use by enjoying personal life with husband Neeraj Khemka, Dhami returned to spread more of her effervescence on the small screen with Ekta’s Pardes Mein Hai Meraa Dil. As the dutiful and subtle Naina, Dhami has got into her character with great ease. Her developing chemistry with Arjun Bijlani in the show is sure to catch steam in the year ahead. 

Disha Vakani           

She’s a power-house of a performer!! Disha as the dutiful yet fun-filled Dayaben has been winning the hearts of her fans for many years now in the successful show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. And this year has been no different!! Her low-profile nature, grounded approach and determination to get noticed through her performance speak volumes about the actress’ competence. 

Erica Fernandes

It’s unbelievable that her lead stint in Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi is actually her debut work in TV. She certainly comes across as a person with very good acting talent, capable of handling the stress of TV schedule with ease. Her performance levels whether it be the romantic scenes opposite Shaheer Sheikh, or the emotional ones or the scenes where she is the gullible bahu, always on the edge of losing to her over-dramatic mother-in-law, show real promise!! Hats off to Erica for carrying her role in the show with perfection!! In quick time, Erica has risen to be the darling actress of TV. 

Hina Khan        

She’s been spreading her radiant smile as ‘Akshara’ on TV for many years now!! The actress has gained superior levels of popularity playing the character in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hain!! But this year brought Hina to a point or situation wherein she got hounded by controversies. Her apparent unruly behaviour on sets, her irresponsible ways of behaving with her co-stars and team made headlines. However, Hina managed to keep her head high, and bowed out of the show without indulging in much of mud-slinging. Though Hina’s Yeh Rishta journey is over, she’s now embarked on her new journey which we believe, is smiling at her, all set to embrace her with open hands.

Jennifer Winget

The year 2016 has to be marked as the ‘comeback’ year of this extremely talented actress. We have seen Jennifer doing the romantic roles to ease, we have seen her being strong as well as passionate, but we have never seen a negative leaf in Jennifer’s roles. Daring, Jennifer has been to grab the role of the obsessive lover Maya in Beyhadh. The manner in which she has worked on her body language, look and portrayal for Maya has been splendid. She’s certainly reaped rewards for taking this huge risk, as her fans have been going gaga about the lady’s new avatar!! And to know that Jennifer was the only choice that the makers thought of for the role puts her in the elite category of actors!!

Kratika Sengar

She’s lively, charming and is a fantastic actor!! Her comeback to TV post marriage is what many of her fans waited for. And they got the best when she returned in the reincarnation saga, Kasam Tere Pyaar Ki. And she’s just carried forward her legacy of great acting. However, there was turbulence in the form of her exit from the show. Call it the vacuum created by Kratika’s exit, or a demand caused by drop in ratings, or the sheer power of her performance and chemistry with co-actor Ssharad Malhotra, she got back to the show. And there has been no looking back for Kratika post that!! She’s excelled in her character, and continues to do justice to it. 

Mouni Roy    

Like Arjun Bijlani, Mouni Roy too has had a fabulously etched 2016. She sizzled all through the year in her ‘Naagin’ avatar, and continues to do so even today!! Her career saw new heights with the popularity of Naagin in early 2016, and she’s now back to enthral audiences with her naagin avatar. Certainly, Mouni has been the ‘undisputed’ winner when it comes to the naagin race on TV... 

Rubina Dilaik

She’s the ‘Undisputed Queen’ when it comes to taking challenges!! For a girl like Rubina who has all through her career shown a passionate side of herself in her roles on TV to take a complex character, that of a transgender is indeed phenomenal!! She’s ruled the TRP charts and the hearts of the TV viewing audience. She’s emerged a winner out of nowhere, sheerly through the choice selection of her role. Her acting instincts have yet again towered her to the top as she plays the role of a kinnar to perfection!! 

Sriti Jha

Sriti has taken the Abhi-Pragya romance and chemistry to newer heights in the year 2016. Her amazing screen presence, glorifying acting prowess have made her all the more popular. Her on-screen chemistry with Shabir Ahluwalia has been outstanding throughout the tenure of Kumkum Bhagya. 

Shubhangi Atre

Her task was cut out when she entered the popular show Bhabhiji Ghar Pe Hai. Her entry had to put a full-stop to the never-ending controversies created by the exit of Shilpa Shinde from the show. She had to deliver, and from scene one!! Such was the pressure under which the elegant Shubhangi Atre entered the show. But it comes as no surprise as Shubhangi managed to have a very comfortable drive into the show. Her transition as the famous Angoori Bhabhi has been smooth as an ice-cream scoop. Today, Shubhangi has effortlessly slipped into the character and exhibits her own charm and grace in the character.
