Shriya Saran says that this is the product coming from Dharmatics and she has been looking forward to collaborate with Dharma Productions and Karan Johar from quite long time. This is a beautiful story that throw light on the industry. She will be seen playing the role of an actress and talking about her part Shriya Saran says her part says a journey of the actress in the series which would be definitely loved by the fans and audience.

Shriya Saran on keeping the character different from herself

Shriya Saran adds, she is an actress in real life and she is playing an actress in the series, but this character is completely different from what she is in real life, because there were lot of discussion happening between her and the director on how to design this character and how to keep this character completely different from what she is in real life. Shriya Saran also said she had to design certain back stories to keep this character different from her.

Shriya Saran on the debate of nepotism in the industry

As we have seen the trailer the series Showtime also deals with the topics like insider and outsider and also topic of nepotism. On this, actress Shriya Saran says that lets take the nepotism as a healthy conversation and we should not blame any particular person for the same. She feels every actor should do screen test and later it is depending on the talent which actor is getting what role. The actress adds that she herself is an outsider but she has got lot of love from the fans Shriya Saran also says that nepotism has his own advantages but ultimately it is the talent and hard work which pays.
