MUMBAI : Flora Saini has impressed one and all with her performances in movies and web series like Lakshmi, Begum Jaan, Dhanak, Stree, Gandii Baat, Inside Edge, Aarya, and others. She will next be seen in Rana Naidu which stars Venkatesh and Rana Daggubati in the lead roles. 

TellyChakkar recently interacted with Flora and spoke to her about the web series, her role in it, and a lot more...

We are very excited for Rana Naidu, how excited are you about it? 

I am very excited to be a part of it; as it’s my first Netflix series. I started my career from down South and I had done one film with Venkatesh Garu called Nuvvu Naaku Nachav which was a super duper blockbuster. We don’t have any scenes together in Rana Naidu, but it is so good to be working on the same project with him. So, I am super duper excited.

Tell us something about your role in the web series.

I play a character called Kavya who is a girl with many layers and she is somebody who is just not scared. She lives life on her terms, has a very strong mind, and is very opinionated. Whatever she wants to do she will do, the opinions of other people don't matter to her. I would describe her as a woman who wears men's boots. It was a very interesting character, very unlike me.

As you said you don’t have any scene with Venkatesh, but do you have any scene with Rana Daggubati and how was your experience of working with him?

It was amazing. The only thing is that I started my career in the South and I picked up Telugu. So, just being able to hear people talk in Telugu around me was a lot of fun. I haven’t done South films in a long time and I never knew that it would come my way as a Hindi web series where people behind the scenes speak a lot of Telugu. So, it is like a secret code like I know what you are saying. So, it was amazing, just amazing. Also, our director Karan Anshuman, he had created and directed Inside Edge, so I had done three seasons of the series with him. So, it’s just been a dream team to work with where I know most of the people and the ones with whom I got a chance to collaborate this time. They are all South people and we had so many common things to connect on.

Rana Naidu will premiere on Netflix on 10th March 2023.
