MUMBAI: Ekta Kapoor's reality show titled “Lock Upp”, where 17 contestants will be locked in jail, play the game, and fight for getting bail to survive, was launched on MX Player and Alt Balaji. 

The audience has given it a thumbs-up. 

Kangana Ranaut made her OTT debut on the show as a host. She guides the contestants. The entire concept is a setup in jail. 

The contestants are fighting hard to survive and to entertain the audience. 

Karan Kundrra as jailor is doing a fabulous job. He is entertaining the audiences, and whenever he comes on the show the viewership shoots up to another level.

Recently, Ali Merchant was eliminated from the show, as the host Kangana thought that his game wasn’t good enough. 

Post his eviction, TellyChakkar got in touch with the actor and asked him about his journey and if he wanted to change anything about his game. 

How has your journey been on the show? 

It has been an amazing journey, and I have made so many memories on the show. I did not think that I would survive for 44 days, and the response and love I have received from the audience has been wonderful. Good things happen to good people. 

Do you want to change anything about your game? Kangana thought that your game wasn’t that strong. 

Every week, we try to get better, and everyone wants to be a good player. Since day one, I have been playing the game so well. The contestants planned and plotted against me, but it didn’t affect me. Even during the eviction, none of the contestants said that Ali’s game has come to an end. They all took Poonam’s name, and I have got many direct messages from fans who have said that the eviction was unfair. They were shocked by the eviction. 

As far as Kanagana’s view is concerned, I respect it and it is fine. The fact that I got this opportunity under the wings of Ekta Kapoor and Kangana is amazing. The love I have received has been unbelievable. I have a lot of work in the pipeline, and I am reading a lot of scripts. 

Had you joined the game with a mindset to achieve something?

I came back on television after a long break, and my only purpose was to prove myself in front of the audience, who had a different thought about me and had misjudged me completely. Today, all the misunderstandings have been cleared. To the people who are talking ill about me, I just want to say to stop using my name to stay in the limelight. 

Well, no doubt that Ali was a good player. His elimination has come as a shock to everyone.
