MUMBAI: Love birds Ashish Dixit and Shweta Kanoje have completed one year of marital bliss.

We asked the young lad more about his relationship with Shweta and he said, "We met at a professional meeting, a few years ago and got to know each other. Shweta is from Nagpur, and co-incidentally, I have done my engineering from Nagpur, which actually connected us. With time, we decided mutually to take the big decision of tying the knot. The year has been very beautiful with Shweta beside me and I’m so happy to have her with me for the rest of my life."

When asked about who gives more surprises, he added, “We both try to make each other feel special with small gestures. Shweta is a person who doesn’t really demand expensive materialistic gifts but gets happy with small little gifts and gestures and I make sure to surprise her often. However, she gave me the best surprise on my birthday when she called me at her maternal place in Nagpur. I wasn’t expecting a grand birthday celebration but Shweta along with her family made it quite grand and royal. I was welcomed at her place with firecrackers, it made me feel very important. I loved her surprise and full marks to her family in helping her out to execute the same”.

Talking about anniversary plans, Ashish said, “We wanted to have a quick getaway but that of course cannot happen because of lockdown. We will make special homemade food and sweets and relish them. Looking forward to making up for it post lockdown."
