Popular actress Narayani Shastri, who is back on television after a break, is currently seen on Life OK show Piya Rangrezz (Sphereorigins).

And once back, the lady is all set to deliver some power packed performance in the role of Bhanvri Devi. When we caught up with the lady, speaking about her character, Narayani mentioned, “My character Bhanvri Devi is a strong woman, who is a local don and runs her own business of desi daru. And after spending many years of her life with males in the business, she has developed some strong masculine traits rather than possessing feminine gestures. And honestly speaking characters like Bhanvri devi is hard to find in our serials.”

Narayani, who is back as a negative character, also mentioned that she has no regret about performing such roles. “I believe that our positive characters on screen are too good to be true. For me they seem like some dream. On the contrary negative characters have many shades of life, which makes them more real and believable. So, I don’t have any regrets of doing negative character.”

“But I will also mention that though I have essayed negative characters earlier this one is very much different from earlier ones. I would define those roles as negative in a very subtle way, whereas Bhanvri Devi is fierce and dangerous,” added the lovely lady.

In the daily Narayani will be seen as the mother of a young man and speaking about the same she candidly said, “At a much younger age I have essayed the role of the mother of much elderly actors, so I really don’t have any issues about that. On a serious note I believe an actor should be open to all, there should be no inhibitions regarding anything. As an actor what should matter the most is the character and as long as I am getting a good role, I have no issues.”

Before signing off Narayani also mentioned that her father’s connection with U.P. has helped her to pick up the accent that is needed for the role.
