Colors Bangla launches its next 'Shonge Srijit'

It’s time to applaud and welcome a new show in Bengal. Yes readers, Colors Bangla has geared up to launch its much-awaited talk show ‘Shonge Srijit’. As the name suggests, it will be hosted by none other than the National award winning director, Srijit Mukherjee. Now coming to the theme, the talk-show will feature high profile celebrities from Tollywood, ranging from musicians to actors to directors to anchors, who will indulge in a heart to heart conversation with the host. These sessions have been divided into five segments all related to Srijit’s films and songs. The first segment, “E Tumi Kemon Tumi” is a warm up session where the guests will talk about their childhood and their struggles. The second one, “Jaatishwar” is a round where old friends, family members will talk about the secrets of the guests. The most controversial round “Gobhire Jao” will address all the controversies and gossip that the guests have to face. The next round is “Ekbaar Bol”, which is the rapid fire round. Talking about the show, Sujay Kutty, Channel Head, Colors Bangla & Odia said, “The show with its unscripted and engaging content is sure to revolutionize the talk show space in Bengal.” The director turned host, Srijit Mukherjee, shared that the guests in the show are all very close to him, so when they come to his show it’s more of a cathartic experience. “The main motive is not to get gossip from the guests but to get a take on things personal, impersonal and reveal unseen sides of their lives. In the past as well, I have been mediating and diffusing different situations, but, I’m doing this for the first time in front of the camera,” smiled the host. The show has been produced by Blue Water Pictures (Jisshu & Nilanjana Sengupta). Donning the hat of a director for the first time Jisshu Sengupta stated, “I wanted to recreate an adda, the likes of which is familiar to all Bengalis. What we wanted is a free flowing conversation and give the guests a place to pour their hearts out and who else other than Srijit could fit the part of the host.” So, get ready to join Srijit in his free-flowing conversations that will take you through the personal and professional journeys of celebrities. Premiering on 7th December, the show will air every Monday-Wednesday at 9 pm only on Colors Bangla.
