MUMBAI: Anup Upadhyay is an Indian stage, film, and television actor. He is known for portraying David Mishra in the Hindi comedy series Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai.

He has also acted in F.I.R., Lapataganj, and in Life Ok serial May I Come In Madam? as Chedilal Hiteshi.

He is currently seen on the show Jijaji Chhat Parr Koii Hai, where he essays the role of Jaldiram, who is Elaichi’s father and who loves his daughter immensely.

TellyChakkar got in touch with Anup and asked him about the kind of bond he shares with his on-screen daughter Hiba, to which the actor said that she is just like his daughter and they bond really well.

He also said that she is a very good actor and he has a lovely time shooting with her. The actor also revealed that he has a good bond of friendship with Hiba’s father, and thus, they connect.

Anup added that he considers her as his own daughter, and that’s why the bond on television looks so real that at times, people do ask him whether Hiba is his real daughter.

We also asked him how he bagged the show, to which the actor said that he was a part of season 1, so when the production house and the makers called him for season 2, there wasn’t any second thought and he signed the show.

He also said that he has been connected to the production house for 15 years, and it’s been a beautiful journey of working with them.

Well, no doubt that viewers love watching this father–daughter bond on-screen.
