Popularly known for her powerful roles on television, versatile actress Manasi Joshi Roy will be soon seen back on the small screen with Star Plus’ upcoming show ‘Yeh Jhuki Jhuki Si Nazar’.

We got in touch with the gorgeous Manasi Joshi Roy to know about her reason for returning to tv with Yeh Jhuki Jhuki Si Nazar, her character and more, check out what she had to share: 

The show has a completely different perspective behind it, what is your take?

The different perspective behind it is that we all need to stop judging people by their colour, by the shape of their body or by any such physical characteristic, because like they say, beauty lies within you. I hope that somewhere the show is able to make people understand that it's not about colour. And it's more about the person that you are, or rather in this show. DIA is. So I hope we kind of has a positive outcome.

What kind of response did you get from the fans for the promo on social media?

I've had a tremendous response from friends, family, and friends. Everybody's very excited that I'm coming back to television and I'm acting again, everybody keeps telling me why you acting. And I keep saying, I hope there were more good roles being offered to me and I would act so very excited. The response is really amazing.

As an actor what do you expect from your character to add to the perception of the audience?

Well, I, I hope that a complexity that Sudha brings, you know, Sudha is, uh, a little lift that, uh, her son is marrying a girl who's dark or rather she's, she's not very comfortable with that idea because she feels that, she should get a beautiful bride for her son, somewhere along, you will see that she to understand that it's not really, about that. And she appreciates the offer of who she is inside. So, yeah.

What was your family's reaction to your character in the show's storyline?

My family has always been my biggest support beginning with my husband who was, who I've always is maintained, is the wind beneath my wings. And I  absolutely lean on him too, kind of guide me and support me all the time. My daughter's very excited that I'm working again because she's gone to university, she's studying in us now, and she's very happy that I am working. So, we can kind of continue, to be so that's it, the family's very excited, very happy, very supportive.
