Priyadarshini Singh made her foray into the world of television as one of the contestants on Rahul Dulhaniya Le Jayenge on Imagine. The beautiful actress did miss out on being Rahul’s belle on the show, but later, she did go on to find the love of her life. What are we getting at? Well, Priyadarshini got married on 5 January 2012 to her long time friend and renowned Mumbai based industrialist (fishery), Karan Anand. “We have been best of friends for a long time but marriage was never on the cards. It’s an arranged marriage and my dad fixed it. I was shooting in Mumbai when I got a call from my dad stating that I have to come down to Delhi and tie the knot immediately. So, I rushed to take a flight,” narrates Priyadarshini. The actress had signed a contract to be a part of a show but had to leave it midway as her dad wanted her back home to get married as soon as possible. Her dad has been keeping ill for quite some time now, but by the grace of God, is slowly recuperating “My dad called me and I wanted him to be happy. Everything happened super instantly. I didn’t even get time to purchase a proper bridal outfit. I wore a regular salwar suit for the wedding. It was a simple Arya Samaj ceremony held in Delhi. Now, I am back in Mumbai,” she goes on to say. The cute couple was supposed to fly off to Maldives for honeymoon but dropped the plan considering Priyadarshini’s dad’s ill health. “But I am glad that he is recuperating and he is happy that I am now blissfully settled. And when it comes to honeymoon, we will definitely go in the next ten days when Karan returns from his Bangalore business trip,” shares the charming lady. Congrats and all the best, Priyadarshini. Have a rocking life ahead. And finally, this is what she wants to do at the work front, “I would love to be a part of reality shows like Bigg Boss and Survivor India. I am also keen on doing good fiction shows. But I don’t think I will ever act in movies,” she ends.
