MUMBAI: Sony TV has some very interesting shows on-air currently and among them, the channel also plans to bring the second season of Ek Duje Ke Vaaste. The show will be produced by Frames Productions (Indranil Chakrovorty and Dilip Jha) and will be written by Dilip Jha.
The earlier season of the show starred Namik Paul and Nikita Dutta playing the roles of Shravan and Suman respectively and the storyline revolved around them being inseparable childhood besties. In their growing years they have a fight and decide to go separate ways only to find them coming together as adults and falling head over heels in love. The season 2 of the show will star actors Mohit Kumar as Shravan and Kannika Kapoor as Suman. However, this time, the story will revovle around romance against the backdrop of a military setup. This time, the show will highlight how ego, and the absence of an apology during a misunderstanding can spell the death knell for a relationship.
The channel recently released a teaser of the show which looked very refreshing from mundane content. The promo throws a glimpse of the storyline of season one where Shravan and Suman were in love. In the second half of the promo, both of them can be seen crossing each other's paths. The promo was shot in Ladakh and the dramatic location along with military attires of the actors have surely left the audience asking for more!
The USP of the promo is that the makers have kept it the narrative simple and explored all the complexities a realtionship can face.
