MUMBAI: Karan Sharma of Sasural Simar Ka tied the knot for the second time to Pooja Singh, an actress well-known for her part in the television show Diya Aur Baati Hum. The couple's close friends and relatives attended their small-scale wedding ceremony in Mumbai. Even though they worked in the same industry, Pooja once disclosed that her route had never crossed Karan's.

Karan and Pooja were wed on March 30, 2023. The groom, Karan, looked dapper in a sherwani with an ivory color, a doshala, and a maroon-toned turban. However, Pooja, the bride, looked lovely in a lehenga with a lot of zardozi embroidery and orange shading. A big maang teeka, a choker, a nath, and matching earrings completed her ensemble.

Before Karan and Pooja's lavish wedding, their families also threw a sangeet ceremony. The actress looked stunning in a gown with a pink tone. Karan looked handsome in a tuxedo colored black. Together with their friends, the couple appeared incredibly in love as they posed for pictures.

During an interview with the popular news portal, Pooja revealed that her first meeting with Karan was unexpected. She added that it was dreamy, as they had been in the same industry for over a decade but never really met each other. Pooja also stated that while they had shot in the same studio and stayed in the same hotel, their paths never crossed. She revealed that it was one of their common friend who arranged a meeting for them.

She said, "It was quite unexpected. It seems quite dreamy as we both belong to the same industry and have been working for almost a decade but have never met. We both simultaneously worked with Rashami Sharma Productions and used to shoot in the same studio, but we never met. Even during the pandemic, the cast of both shows were staying at the same hotel, but we never crossed paths. It was when a common friend made us meet. It is more of an arranged marriage set-up. It feels surreal and like we were destined to be together."

Pooja added that around the end of December, she had met Karan. They started talking, and they hit it off right away. She further mentioned that their parents had met before he had to depart for Chandigarh and that upon returning from the shoot, he had proposed marriage. She said it was a snap decision that taught her you don't need to know someone for a long time before saying yes.

Karan had been married to Tiaara Kar however, the marriage only lasted three years before ending. Pooja Singh was previously married to Kapil Chattani. According to Pooja, they both have a history, and this would be their second marriage, so they are aware of this aspect of themselves.

She said, "We both have our pasts and this is a second marriage for both of us. We have a lot of unsaid understanding and that's what I love about us."
