Readers, the popular channel Zee Bangla is all set to launch a new show titled Phoolmoni, a family drama, which will focus on the relationship between a mother and a child. Directed by Manojit Majumdar, it will see Tumi Asbe Bole actor Siddhartha Banerjee and Aponjon actor Kinni Modak in lead roles. Some of the other actors to play important parts here include Suranjana, Bharat and Biswajit. The launch of the show was recently announced at a press conference held at Technician Studio in Kolkata. Giving a brief detail of the plot of the story, Debalay Bhattacharya, creative head, shared, “It’s a story of a woman (Kinni) who is married since the past six years but is unable to become a mother due to certain reasons which viewers will get to know once the story airs.” “She will develop a motherly bond with a child (five-years-old Subhranshi) who hails from a slum. So, we want to show through this story that blood relation is not the sole factor to define motherhood. The fact that she has no blood relation with the child does not bring any changes in the relationship. It’s the love that binds them together,” he added. Samrat Ghosh, Business Head Bangla Cluster, Zee Bangla and Zee Bangla Cinema, further added about the soap, “It’s a very emotional and a touchy story which talks about issues between a mother and a child. We hope that the audience will like the story.” So, gear up to be part of the emotional journey of a woman. Produced by Shibaji Panja Production House, Phoolmoni will start from fifth September, Monday-Sunday, 5.30 pm. It will replace the soap Premer Phade (Ravi Ojha Productions).
